La Mer insensible à froid

Another inspiring poem I found on WritersCafe.org
La mer insensible à froid

La mer insensible à froid

"

*The cold unfeeling sea

"

I cried to the sea all my sorrow
s
But it took little notice of me
For tears and moans is all it's known
Wind and rain: what I am to the sea

Word of the Month 00001

Well, we were making lemonade. We decided that a word of the month was necessary. And so here it is:

Begrudgingly, our first word of the month.

Dictionary.com tells us:

be·grudge

  [bih-gruhj]
–verb (used with object), -grudged, -grudg·ing.
1.
to envy or resent the pleasure or good fortune of (someone):She begrudged her friend the award.
2.
to be reluctant to give, grant, or allow: She did not begrudgethe money spent on her children's education.
Origin:
1350–1400; Middle English bigrucchen. See be-grudge

be·grudg·ing·ly, adverb
un·be·grudged, adjective

We also found a piece of text from a book called Savannah by the Sea written by Denise Hildreth. Featuring our word begrudgingly not once but twice!

... I settled into a nice rhythm of literary life, examining the essence of our humanness and telling its story through the eyes less-than-perfect journeyman. The city had welcomed me. Begrudgingly but eventually. I had accepted it. Begrudgingly and eventually as well...

Now we ask you to use this word to inspire a piece from you...

emotion writing

Have you ever been in one of those stressed out, confused, angry moods when you feel like you could explode at any given moment? well if you have, it may not seem like a great time for writing but really, it is!
writing can be a great way to release some pressure or say something your too afraid to say aloud, here are some ideas;

-write a letter to someone telling them what you really think (i don't suggest sending it)
-write a poem to express your emotions
-design some powerful word art
-or if none of these seem appropriate, then just start writing, your head may not know what your feeling but your heart will, spill your emotion onto paper and not only could you create a good piece of writing but it can also help you understand yourself.

New Inspiration

I was stuck on the second chapter of one of my stories when I came to this advice.

If your stuck just try something, anything in case it works. If it doesn't work, at least you know what doesn't work.

I knew something wouldn't work in my mind, so I had never tried it out. As soon as I tried it, I ticked it of the list and my mind cleared so I could think of another way. It worked so well I had to share it.

Inspiral Authors

Inspiral Authors are pieces written by either proper published authors, or pretty close to it:

7 til 7

translucent morning eternity
warmed by the steam from my coffee cup
no deception left in lazy smiles and bunny slippers
where else can peace be found
except in pancakes and birdsong?

Keys of Creativity-Yellow

Here's a little starter course for Keys of Creativity.
Each time we write a blog post named 'Keys of Creativity' we will be giving you a set of story starters you can use (they are great to inspire short stories). Anything after the dash in the title is the theme, today...Yellow!

-It was the big M for lunch. Again.
-The fresh honey was like liquid gold on a Monday morning.
-Cigarette stained teeth.
-Streams of sunlight glistened on the gently lapping water. (cliche, I know)
-She snapped the yellow pencil on her forehead...

hope you can have some fun with these

Inkblossom Intro

 Hi!
We've decided to make a blog about our hobby, writing. Inkblossom hopes to help you improve writing skills, inspire your creativity, and hopefully give you a couple of good reads too. We have two e-mails (as shown on the contact us page) which will be checked often and we are aiming to write at least one post every three days. This doesn't have to be a big phenomonen but if you think you know someone who may like it, sure! Go on, show 'em it!
